Document attestation and verification
Safar Injaz is a UAE-based service that coordinates the attestation and verification of educational, personal and commercial documents for use in Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries. We check whether your document needs an apostille or full legalisation, prepare the file and coordinate each stage with the relevant authorities. The authorities attest the document; we manage the process.

You're probably here because
- A Saudi employer, the visa process or a professional registration has asked for your degree or diploma to be attested.
- You need a birth, marriage or other personal certificate attested for use in Saudi Arabia or another GCC country.
- Your company needs commercial documents, such as a power of attorney or company certificates, prepared for use in the GCC.
- You are not sure whether your document needs an apostille or full attestation.
- Your document already carries an apostille or some stamps, and you want to know whether it is ready.
What to send us
Start with clear copies. We'll tell you if and when an original is needed.
- The certificate or document to be attested: clear copies first, and the original when a stage requires it
- A copy of your passport
- Transcripts or other supporting papers, if the issuing authority asks for them
- Where the document will be used, and who asked for the attestation
How it works
Tell us about the document
Which document it is, the country that issued it and where it will be used. We confirm the route and give you a quotation with a clear breakdown of service charges and government fees. The right route
If both countries are in the Apostille Convention, an apostille from the issuing country usually replaces embassy legalisation. Otherwise the document is attested in the issuing country, then by the embassy or consulate of the country where it will be used, and for some countries, such as the UAE, by that country's foreign ministry as well. We confirm the exact chain for your document.Coordination
We prepare the file and coordinate each stage with the relevant authorities, and tell you when an original is needed and how the handover works.Back to you
The attested or apostilled document comes back to you, with a note of any further checks, such as degree verification in Saudi Arabia.
What we don't do
Being clear about this up front saves you time and money.
- We don't attest, apostille or certify documents ourselves. The competent authorities do that; we coordinate the process.
- We won't submit a document we believe is false or altered.
- An apostille or attestation confirms the signature and seal, not what the document says. It doesn't replace checks Saudi Arabia may still make, such as degree verification.
- We can't promise a date. Each authority sets its own processing time.
Safar Injaz provides assistance and coordination subject to applicable regulations and service-provider authorisations. Visa issuance and approval remain with the relevant authorities.

Questions about attestation
Does Saudi Arabia accept an apostille?
Yes. Since 7 December 2022, Saudi Arabia accepts an apostille on public documents from other Apostille Convention countries, so Saudi embassy legalisation is no longer needed for those documents. Saudi Arabia may still verify a degree itself, for example through the Ministry of Education's Mosadaqa platform.
Which GCC countries accept an apostille?
Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain are members of the Apostille Convention. The UAE, Qatar and Kuwait are not, so documents for use there need full attestation (legalisation), which includes that country's embassy or consulate.
Is my country in the Apostille Convention?
Most of the 30 countries we serve are, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Philippines and Indonesia. Some are not, including the UAE, Malaysia, Kenya and Nigeria. The Convention takes effect for Thailand on 28 February 2027; until then, Thai documents still need legalisation. We check the current status for your document.
Can commercial documents be apostilled?
Some can. But administrative documents that deal directly with commercial or customs operations, such as certificates of origin and invoices, are outside the Apostille Convention and still need chamber of commerce and embassy legalisation. We check your document before you start.
How long does attestation take?
Usually 3 to 15 working days, depending on the document, the issuing country and the authorities involved. All timelines are estimates and depend on the relevant authorities and individual circumstances.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the document, the country that issued it and where it will be used. Contact us for a personalised quotation. We give you a clear breakdown of our service charges and the applicable government fees before proceeding.
